Christmas is just around the corner and we all know this time of the year can be hard on our diet. Between sweets and appetizers, it is normal to neglect your diet, but you don’t have to stay away from all the good stuff to stay healthy during the holidays. After all, nobody said that a Christmas dessert can’t be healthy.
So, today we bring you a delicious and healthy dessert recipe that will let you enjoy this festive season without worrying about your diet. Get to work and surprise your family with these healthy Christmas truffles.
Ingredients
For this recipe you will need:
- 1/2 cup of Zumub dates (about 10 dates)
- 1/2 cup of Zumub roasted cashews
- 1 tablespoon of Zumub Peanut Butter crunchy
- Boiling water
- Zumub grated coconut
- Zumub hazelnuts (chopped)
- 1/2 tablespoon of Zumub cocoa powder
Preparation
1 – Start by placing the pitted and broken dates in a bowl with boiling water. Add the cashews and let them soften for a few minutes.
2 – Transfer the dates, the cashews and the peanut butter into a food processor (without the water). Grind until you get a consistent dough that you can work with. If necessary, add a bit of the water from before (maximum 3 tablespoons).
3 -With your hands, make little circles with half of the dough and roll them in grated coconut.
4 – Add the cocoa powder to the other half of the dough and grind. Make the circles and wrap them in the chopped hazelnuts and/or cocoa powder.
Store the truffles in the fridge to harden before serving.
